Gavri is a fan-fingered GECKO.

He is the Tiny Virtue Hero of EMPATHY.

Gavri is the Tiny Virtue Hero of EMPATHY. We imagine the tiny gecko, who is in the middle of shedding his skin, in the garden of olive trees when Jesus came there to pray before He was arrested. Gavri thought that the way Jesus was trembling, sweating, and grimacing in pain...perhaps He was shedding His skin too. Gavri stayed nearby Jesus in that agony to let Him know, in a small way, that he understood. Gavri admires the apostle John, whose virtue-srength of empathy lovingly kept him close to Jesus in that time of suffering too.

Gavri’s favorite Spiritual History Story: The agony in the garden of olives where Jesus suffered  before he died and rose again. Gavri admires James’ heroic empathy in that moment as Jesus suffered for all the souls who ever lived.
