Simcha the firefly is the Tiny Virtue Hero of JOYFULNESS. We imagine her as a witness to the Transfiguration. She admired the holy glow of Jesus, and the way Moses’ and Elijah’s virtue-powered light brought joy and strength to Jesus. She decided that she wouldn’t use her light for selfish survival, just to find food or friends for herself in the night. Simcha decided to use her light as a virtue-power to bring joy and smiles to others, night and day.
