Eli the caterpillar is the Tiny Virtue Hero of KINDNESS. He’s a small caterpillar who wants to use his smile to bring joy to others. Eli longs for the day when he can hop on the breeze as a butterfly and bring even more smiles to everyone. He admires Joseph, Jesus’ earthly father. Eli tells the story of Joseph’s heroic kindness when he and Mary lost Jesus for three days and searched everywhere in Jerusalem to find him. No matter how anxious or upset he was, Joseph treated everyone with kindness and love. All along the way, Joseph, Mary, and even Eli, prayed, and God led them to someone who had experienced the kindness of Jesus, who could point them in the right direction. In the end, they found Jesus in the temple… “the Heavenly Father’s House.” Eli’s story is told in the book: Jesus Lost and Found.
